Our Camera is back

We finally received our lens to our camera. So we are back in the picture taking business. Clark slept through the night last night, which is a first. Hopefully he enjoyed it so much that this trend will continue.

In this picture, Audrey sure looks like she's up to something.

Handsome Son

It may just be me but I think Clark is getting more handsome with each day. He had his hair styled for the first time recently. The only hair he has is in strip in the center of his head, so he wore a faux-hawk to a recent church event. Needless to say, he was a star of the party and looked very emo.

Gigi time

We got a visit from my parents before their two week trip to the Pacific Northwest. After seeing Clark get a bath, Audrey insisted on getting in the sink.
Today, I was off work and we went to the zoo. Audrey was extremely excited. She tried to wake Shannon up and even tried to put her shoes on for her in bed to get her ready to go to the zoo.

cute pic

I think Clark looks pretty cute here, a little alarmed, maybe, but precious.

Night-night.

Audrey's favorite activity continues to be to put her toys and dolls to bed. I find something similar to this all over the house every day, several times a day. As you can see she is using baby wipes as sheets in this pic, but she is extremely resourceful and has used anything she can find to tuck them in. I'll try and find a picture of when she took a $20 bill out of my purse to use as a blanket.

I love my grandmoms.

Bebe came in to see Audrey and Clark a few weeks ago, followed by Gigi the next wknd! Audrey loves company and cries hard when they leave. "Bebe again! Gigi again!" "I want to go to Nacogdoches too! I want Gigi make gumbo."

busy bee

Here's a clip of Audrey singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star when she suddenly remembers she would rather do an exercise video.

Baby Einstein

Clark is quite the baby genius. I asked him where the lion was and this was his response.

Poor Clark pt. 2

Here is Audrey and her friend Isabella smothering Clark. They had good intentions of giving him snuggling as Audrey puts it. The other pic is of Audrey acting like a monkey. Everyone that has ever been to our house please note that the bed is made.

Future Art History Major?

Today we were watching a show that had this painting on the set. Without missing a beat Audrey said, "Look! They have the picture at Bebe and Momar's house!" Sure enough, it was The Fairy Tale, which hangs both at my mom's house and my grandmom's house. We looked online at some other art and she was able to pick out two other Mary Cassatt prints she recognized from the Bales House.

Bye Mom!

Audrey just walked by early this morning and said, "Bye Mom! I go buy tikas (tortillas) at HBG (HEB)."

Clark video

Clark is quite the talker now...here's a quick clip.

The Lower Lip

Shannon has taught her pupil well with the lower lip trick. It pretty much gets both of them anything they want.

Grandpa's Birthday

We were in Beaumont to celebrate Grandpa Morrison's (aka Da-da) birthday. Here's some great pics of Audrey after giving butterfly kisses to Gigi and snuggling with the birthday boy.

I think Jacob took most of these pics. Maybe he'll follow in dad's footsteps into photography.

toe tricks

Clark has some really long fingers and toes. It's pretty weird that his fourth toe is his longest--he is always curling it around the others.

First Fish

Audrey caught her first fish, a perch, at Bebe and Pop's house. She now has a new Dora fishing rod, so she can go fishing with dad anytime. Clark is rolling over now which is a skill I believe he developed to escape Audrey's smothering.

Lauren and Kathy

Audrey's new best friends from the family reunion, Lauren and Kathy (Katherine). There is a mutual love for swimming between them. Watching her interact with Lauren and Katherine did make me sad that she won't have an older sister, because she loved copying what the older girls did. I'm posting this at work because I'm missing my kids real bad right now and needed to see some pictures myself.

Father's Day Pics

Belated pics from Father's Day. The church sermon was pretty emotional for me (turning into my dad more and more everyday) as they emphasized how important my role is to my children. Everyday just gets better and better with them. After my first week back to work after vacation, I had some serious withdrawal problems because I only get to spend like 4 hours with them per day now. Shannon and I are constantly amazed at the Lord's love as we realize no matter how much we love Clark and Audrey, the Lord loves us more which is beyond comprehension. We are putting the wraps on a great weekend as we had few plans and we just got to spend time as a family. Audrey has been very funny as she asks for "FH" which is short for Family Holding. She wants everyone to come into the bed and just snuggle. There is nothing in the world that I'd rather do.

Beaumont Pics

We visited Beaumont and Nacogdoches after our vacation. Here's some pictures. Clark is about to go to sleep in the one picture. Also you can see that Audrey doesn't mind splashing water on other people, but she sure doesn't like to have water splashed on herself.

Boston

We went to Boston for a conference and took Clark and Lil' A with us. Alston, Ben, Henry and Spencer live in Cambridge and we got to spend some great time with them. One day we went with them to Frog Pond site of the infamous Billman engagement. Their engagement was in winter, so didn't have the backdrop of half-naked kids playing. Amy House lives in Boston so we met her at Harvard for burgers at Mr. Bartley's and she graciously babysat for us. Our tour guide told us that the most popular attraction in Boston was the site of the Cheers entrance. All of the stereotypes that you've heard of Bostonians are all true.

Fenway

We took Clark to his first baseball game at the best baseball stadium in the world, Fenway Park. I think Clark is going to be a Red Sox fan as he smiled pretty large whenever the Sox scored and we saw Manny Ramirez outside of our hotel. So I think it's destiny. For some unknown reason, Pop and Pat are Yankee fans so they are now Clark's rivals. We also took the tour which was pretty awesome as we got to go on the field and sit atop the Green Monstah.
Say what you want but Boston isn't stroller friendly and I did Baby Bjorn it.

Smothering, I mean mothering

Lots of you have asked how Audrey is doing with Clark. I've uploaded some video to show you what happens at our house about 10-15 times per day. Poor Clark.
